These are some of the events from 2011. The 2012 events are not yet finalized.

Creating Your Own Living Wreath
You will be making a beautiful living wreath which you will enjoy for many years to come. All materials are included in the price; rings, moss, coco liner, soil and an exciting selection of over two dozen choice sempervivum and sedums.

Building the Perfect Alpine Trough

The Secrets of Plant Propagation
Our interactive propagation workshop has become a customer favourite. This hands on workshop will cover an amazing array of propagation techniques including seed, cuttings and division. For the more adventurous we will be attempting the various grafting methods. We will focus on propagation of conifers, broadleaf evergreens, perennials and deciduous shrubs. All of your prepared plant material will be placed in the propagation house at the nursery, after rooting, you will be able to pick them up in the spring.

Living Willow Structures
We will be building several living willow structures including an arbor and ‘fedge’. Initial preparation and maintenance of the structures will be discussed. Everyone will receive a bundle of willow rods to take home for their own creations.

5th Annual Spring Fling
Light Refreshments
Be sure to wear your spring bonnet as we have a $50.00 gift certificate for the most creative bonnet. Prizes will also be awarded in our useless (but interesting) plant trivia competition. This year's lecture is entitled 'Great New Plants to Feed Your Plant Habit', by yours truly, Jill Covill.
Special guest of honor is Jodi DeLong, with a book signing of ‘Plants for Atlantic Canada’.

Earth Day Plant Giveaway
Details of this year's feature plant will be revealed one week prior to the event.

2nd Annual Painting Lilies by the Bunch
Light Refreshments
This was one of the most popular events last season with both artists and visitors. Despite the rain, six artists scattered around the barn and gardens with pallets and brushes. The subjects are endless and any interested artists are welcome to register. Come to observe, chat and enjoy light refreshments.

Later Blooming Plants by Jodi DeLong
For those who lament about having 'no colour' in mid summer and later, we have some solutions for you. This talk will focus on great foliage colour, ornamental perennial grasses and later-flowering shrubs and perennials with lots of ideas for you to enjoy as summer moves into autumn.
